The best is saved for last!

What else can one do after five beautiful days of exploring Istanbul? We decided to save the best for the last and organized a private cruise in Istanbul with our friends. What a trip that was! It’s a kind of escape from the street crowds into the silence of the sea while enjoying this great town's stunning and vivid scenery. The captain and crew were so friendly and in a good mood; we felt like we had known them for years. Great atmosphere, great views of both the European and Asian sides. There was enough delicious Turkish food, excellent strong aromatic coffee, and tea. It was easy to relax and spend quality time with our closest people. So grateful for this experience! Our highest recommendation!

Hope my wish will come true!

This year, my trip to Istanbul happened to fall on my birthday. That's why my friends booked a private yacht cruise for me. The best birthday present and surprise ever! The eight of us on a luxury yacht... unforgettable. The crew ensured everything was at hand, creating the right vibe. Besides having a great time, relaxing, laughing, taking tons of photos, selfies, and reels, and calling all our friends back home on video calls, we also learned something new. It was cool to see Dolmabahçe Palace and Blue Mosque from the seaside. We also liked the Maiden's Tower. Passing under the Bosphorus Bridge, we hugged each other and made our wishes. Mine was definitely to come back here! I highly recommend this experience.

DESCRIPTION

Private Bosphorus Cruise

TAKE IN THE PANORAMIC VIEW FROM THE YACHT

On your boat tour on the Bosphorus, you will see some of the city's most iconic landmarks while sailing between Europe and Asia. You will begin your sightseeing near the Galata Tower, a 14th-century structure that once formed part of the city's defensive walls. According to local legend, couples who visit the tower together for the first time will eventually marry. Further along, you’ll pass the Galataport Istanbul, a modern cruise port and hub of luxury shopping, dining, and culture. The magnificent Dolmabahçe Palace awaits you next, a stunning 19th-century residence of Ottoman sultans. A blend of Ottoman, Baroque, and Neoclassical architectural elements makes it one of Istanbul’s most remarkable buildings. As your yacht approaches the Ortaköy Mosque, you’ll be charmed by its elegant Baroque design and stunning position on the water's edge. Built in the 19th century, it offers incredible views of the Bosphorus Bridge, one of the world’s most significant bridges. As you approach the Maiden's Tower on a small island in the Bosphorus, you’ll hear the many legends surrounding this structure. One famous tale tells of a sultan who built the tower to protect his daughter from a prediction of her death. And for the grand finale, the Sepetçiler Pavilion comes into view - a pavilion built in the 17th century, once part of the Topkapi Palace grounds and served as a docking spot for the Ottoman sultans' boating excursions. Today, it hosts cultural events, carrying on its legacy of refinement and grandeur.

THE MOST IMPORTANT BRIDGE(S) IN THE WORLD

Capture special moments on a sightseeing tour along the spectacular Bosphorus. Sail between two continents while snapping stunning shots of landmarks and historical sites like Rumeli Fortress, a military fortress built in the 15th century with panoramic views of Istanbul’s skyline. Every angle offers a picture-perfect scene. Taking a video shot as you pass under the Bosphorus Bridge is a must! This was the first trans-continental bridge in Istanbul, opened back in 1973, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Republic. The bridge connects two continents - the Ortaköy district on the European side and the Beylerbeyi district on the Anatolian side. It is good to know that there are two more "Bosphorus Bridges": Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, also called the Second Bosphorus Bridge, opened in 1988, and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, also called the Third Bosphorus Bridge, opened in 2016.

SEE HOW THE EUROPEAN & ASIAN SIDES BLEND

As you cruise along the Bosphorus, you will surely notice the distinct contrasts between the European and Asian sides of this unique city. Istanbul celebrates both cultures - both European and Asian- which are harmoniously intertwined. The European side buzzes with historic landmarks, grand palaces, and modern skyscrapers. This is Istanbul's imperial past and Western influences. On the other hand, the Asian side offers a quieter, more traditional vibe in classical homes. Here, historic mosques and green parks blend together, showcasing the city's Ottoman roots and local culture.

Interesting facts about the Bosphorus

PERFECT WEDDING PROPOSAL DESTINATION

Did you know that Bosphorus cruises are very popular when it comes to wedding proposals? Two locations stand out the most. The first is the Maiden’s Tower, a small, picturesque island in the heart of the Bosphorus, surrounded by history and legends. Many couples witnessed that proposing at this spot adds a magical, almost fairytale-like feel to the perfect moment. The second romantic location is near the Ortaköy Mosque. That spot captures the essence of Istanbul’s beauty: set against the stunning backdrop of the Bosphorus Bridge, the mosque’s baroque architecture appears almost surreal as the sun sets behind it. Anyway, we hope for the best for you two, and that she'll say yes!

STEP INTO ICONIC MOVIE SCENES

Did you know that the Turkish film industry has greatly grown and internationally recognized in the last few years? One of the most iconic spots for filming is the Bosphorus Bridge, which has been featured in several films. Turkish dramas are now broadcast in nearly 150 countries, making the Bosphorus a recognizable setting for millions of viewers worldwide. One of the most famous films centered around the bridge is The Crossing, which emphasizes the significance of this architectural sensation. As you sail beneath the bridge or pass by one of these stately waterfront mansions, you will sail through the very same spots where some of the most memorable scenes in Turkish cinema were shot.

FAQ – Private Bosphorus Cruise

Can I bring my food and drink on the yacht?

The drinks and snacks are provided on board. If you have specific dietary needs or wish to bring additional refreshments, please inform us in advance.

Is a tour guide provided?

While the captain and crew are well-versed in the area, a professional tour guide in different languages can be arranged if you want more in-depth information about the sights along the Bosphorus.

How long does the cruise last?

The length of the cruise can be flexible and tailored to your preferences, though it typically lasts 2 hours. This allows enough time to visit all the major attractions along the Bosphorus while still having enough time to relax and enjoy the views.

Why should I book the Private Bosphorus Cruise?

The Private Bosphorus Cruise offers comfort, privacy, and flexibility that regular tours don’t. While there are many Istanbul boat rides, none can match the personal and relaxed experience of having the boat to yourself. It’s a special way to enjoy the Bosphorus, on your own terms.

Do I need to reserve a private Bosphorus cruise in advance?

It's highly recommended that you reserve your private Bosphorus cruise in advance. Personalized private tours are in high demand, and with a limited number of luxury yachts available, booking early ensures you secure your preferred date and time.

Do we go all the way to the Black Sea?

A private Bosphorus cruise focuses more on the city’s highlights from the sea and discovering Bosphorus itself. But, if you wish to go all the way to the Black Sea, have a day trip with lunch included, and visit a typical village on the Asian side, we highly recommend our Bosphorus and Black Sea Cruise.

Can we celebrate a special occasion on the boat?

Yes, and the Private Bosphorus Cruise is ideal for that — but there are also a few different options depending on the atmosphere you're looking for. If you're planning a celebration with music, dancing, and a lively vibe, the Bosphorus Dinner Cruise is a great choice. It combines sightseeing with dinner and traditional Turkish shows, making it perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just a fun night out with friends. On the other hand, if you prefer a quieter and more relaxed setting, the Bosphorus Morning Cruise offers a calm experience with soft morning light, warm drinks, and peaceful views — ideal for a more intimate or reflective occasion.
