About Bosphorus and Black Sea Cruise
Explore Istanbul’s surrounding waters with our Bosphorus and Black Sea Cruise! Sail up the Bosphorus Strait, passing by Istanbul’s iconic landmarks, before entering the Black Sea and visiting the picturesque town of Anadolu Kavağı. Enjoy a 2-course lunch while cruising, and even swim in the sea during the summertime!
As you sail, you’ll spot Istanbul’s top attractions. Glide beneath the Bosphorus Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge spanning the Bosphorus Strait. Take a perfect photo of the beautiful Maiden's Tower guarding the strait’s southern entrance. Spot the 63-meter-tall Galata Tower, and more.
Your full-day cruise includes a tasty 2-course lunch en route to the Black Sea. Start with typical meze dishes such as stuffed grape leaves and zucchini fritters, and tuck into grilled chicken for your main.
A charming coastal town at the mouth of the Black Sea, Anadolu Kavağı is primarily a fishing village filled with quaint seafood restaurants. You can also hike around its surroundings and visit the ruins of Yoros Castle.
The Bosphorus and Black Sea Cruise includes swimming! In the summer months, we’ll stop in the Black Sea so you can dive into the clear water. Jump in to refresh yourself and experience the sea’s beauty firsthand!
If you end up being unable to attend the sightseeing cruise, simply cancel up to 24 hours in advance - we’ll refund you, and you can rebook. Alternatively, just book your spot but pay afterward, once you’ve finalized plans.
This Black Sea Tour was our day trip while in Istanbul, and so much fun! Swimming off the boat is something I’ll never forget…the water was so clear! Just in general, it was so relaxing to get away from all the Istanbul business. Especially in the village - it felt like a different world compared to Istanbul!
There’s nothing quite like passing under the Bosphorus Bridge…it’s just so huge! I felt like an ant - but in a good, awed way. In general I just really loved the architecture we saw, stuff like Ortaköy Mosque, Bebek, and similar. Also, the food was delicious! So good I even asked the guide for the kısır recipe.

Do you know how the Bosphorus and Black Sea formed?
According to the most popular theory, in 5600 BC the Sea of Marmara’s sea level began rising dramatically. Water spilled over to the Black Sea, which was then a low-lying body of freshwater. The huge amounts of water would have caused a flood, and the event is actually a possible source for the story of Noah’s flood!
